PROJECT OVERVIEW: Support the Information Assurance (IA) directorate of the Air Force Network Integration Center (AFNIC/EC) in their mission to assist the Air Force functional community in fielding IA-compliant secure communications and technologies that pose minimal risk to the AF portion of the Department of Defense Global Information Grid.
The objectives of the project are to research and analyze the Air Force's IA programs and initiatives; conduct expert evaluations of a full range of USAF systems and IT initiatives; analyze and develop Certification and Accreditation (C&A) recommends, and submit staffing packages for accreditation; and prepare suggestions and recommendations for the overall improvement of the USAF's IA program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, specials reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.

REQUIRED SKILLS:Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications. Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations or equivalent.
DESIRED SKILLS: Excellent written communications skills.
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Bachelors' degree (in related technical field) or equivalent, and two to four years of related (technical writing and copy editing) experience.
