Description

Springhouse provides full service appraisal management services for purpose of origination valuations as well as default. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Springhouse Appraisal Management, a division of Altisource™, is an intermediary that uses a nationwide panel of certified and licensed appraisers to expedite multiple real estate appraisal requests. This outsourcing of the appraisal process insulates our clients from any questions concerning appraiser selection and influence. There are several other areas of benefit that are inherent in using Springhouse appraisal services. Our clients reduce overhead costs by eliminating fixed expenses associated with in-house real estate appraisal procurement. Springhouse AMC offers clients a competitive advantage in an increasingly challenging mortgage-lending industry.

Responsibilities include:
* Audit sample of appraisal product deliverables to ensure compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and all state, federal, and agency guidelines.
* Develop system to flag and extract samples of pipeline workflow files to ensure upfront disclosures and customer notifications are compliant with all state, federal, and agency guidelines.
* Run compliance software, interpret results, and document findings on each file. Work with Senior Managers, VMO and Internal Audit to report feedback and findings.
* Maintain a library with prior and current regulatory compliance guidelines to be used as a reference tool for others within the organization.
* Coordinate with Operations Specialists to identify any training or communication with vendors.
* Communicate with and supervise/train offshore Compliance Auditors on all job functions to ensure processes and standards are maintained.

* Development of scalable internal audit process and review system
* Create feedback loop for vendor scoring and quality ratings

Qualifications:
* 3-5 years experience in performing residential appraisals and reviews.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for providing high quality workmanship.
* Attention to detail focus with ability to multi task in a fast paced, high risk environment.
* Fundamental knowledge of mortgage banking in general, with emphasis in residential appraisal preferred.
* Experience with field appraising, mortgage origination and investor guidelines .
* Comfortable with technology as a tool. Experience with compliance software desired.
* B.S. from an accredited school desired.
