Altisource™ and the Springhouse™ division is developing a reputation as the preeminent technology enabled, knowledge based provider of its services. Our focus is on leveraging technology and a global service delivery model to provide highly efficient, accurate support of the industries we service. Unique intellectual property, such as behavioral-science principles, artificial intelligence driven scripting engines and risk decision models are used to reduce performance variability and improve compliance and overall performance for Altisource and its clients.
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Valuation.
Responsibilities include: * Design and implement a comprehensive quality program to meet the requirements of all agencies and regulatory bodies involved with US mortgage lending/residential appraisal. Program must also promote USPAP compliance. * Work with internal Legal/Compliance staff to ensure that all processes are compliant with all state and federal regulations. * Evaluate all processes for risk and determine testing points as necessary. * Develop individual test programs and tracking mechanism to report results and determine progress. * Set minimum quality standards based on inherent risk of the process. * Implement feedback loop to ensure staff and management are aware of results and identified areas for improvement. * Develop training materials to enhance quality culture throughout the organization. * Hire, train and assimilate qualified, experienced Quality Control Analysts into the organization in order to adequately sample the entire process. * Manage staff both onshore and offshore to execute quality program globally. * Ensure that staff maintains a working knowledge of all current appraisal guidelines, federal and state lending laws and have the ability to comprehensively explain to others both within and outside the organization. * Effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management within the organization.
Key Result Areas: * Manage staff to improve/maintain quality scores within acceptable levels throughout the organization.
Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years of mortgage/appraisal experience including a minimum of 3 years managing either a quality assurance or a regulatory compliance staff. * Six sigma or lean process certification is preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. * Attention to detail focus with ability to multi task in a fast paced and high risk environment. * Fundamental knowledge of mortgage banking and residential appraisal practices.
