Our St. Louis office of Golder Associates Inc is looking for a Project Environmental Scientist/Engineer.
This individual will participate in and/or manage environmental projects that involve field studies, report preparation, and interaction with coworkers and subcontractors. The candidate may participate in subsurface site characterizations involving drilling, soil classification, coring and well installation. The candidate may also perform groundwater, surface water, soil and air sampling; environmental site assessments; remediation; and regulatory reporting. The candidate may also participate in geotechnical field investigation programs. Job Requirements:
* B.S. or M.S. in geology, hydrogeology, engineering or related degree; * A minimum of 5 years experience in the environmental field; * Project management experience in subsurface site characterization, analytical data evaluation and remediation planning, environmental regulations, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and environmental compliance audits; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and with groups; * Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and database software; * The position requires travel and fieldwork as dictated by project demands; * 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training preferred.
