Position Overview & Responsibilities:

Responsible for timely and accurate fulfillment of Production Center job requests for printing services, mail or shipping, equipment, and achieving excellence in client service and satisfaction for internal staff.

The FH Production Center Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating print center, mail, shipping and facility support activities. This includes developing and supervising staff and processes for the highest utilization of services and equipment, and to achieve excellence in client service and satisfaction to internal staff.

This position will assist in any capacity to provide high levels of service and ensure proper handling of larger items and sensitive time issues. Must demonstrate flexibility, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include:
* Manage/Supervise the Production and Mail Center operations on a daily basis
* Assimilate the Production Center staff into the FH culture and environment
* Ensure all Production Center staff are trained to operate all associated Production Center equipment, taking advantage of in-depth training offered by equipment manufacturers
* Manage all personnel-related issues and problems
* Provide and maintain cross-trained printing personnel for back up during vacation, leave of absence and emergency situations
* Maintain extreme confidentiality of sensitive FH and client information
* Create Standard Operating Procedures for all services provided
* Develop high productivity and turnaround times by providing physical and procedural workflow organization
* Develop full understanding of WebPrint system and assume responsibility for system administration and interfacing with WebPrint support as needed
* Develop vendor relationships for outsourced specialty work and assist FH internal clients in submitting and tracking jobs that are outsourced; negotiate pricing with vendors and perform quality review
* Conduct business and manage team members in a manner that brings a sense of urgency to the Production Center Operations, expands the Center’s capabilities for end users and instills the highest level of accuracy and quality in all work produced in the Center
* Concentrate on delivering operational excellence every day
* Act as the liaison with FH Creative Studio designers, art directors and creative directors by advising on color correction, print layout and equipment issues, and setting appropriate expectations regarding the timely and accurate completion of jobs
* Work closely with FH administrative support staff in St. Louis, and with FH account and support staff in other offices, to increase Production Center print volume by educating them about capabilities and demonstrating the value of sending work to the Center
* Coordinate with local couriers’ mail pickup schedules and requirements and oversee the timely delivery of checks from the lockbox to Accounting
* Following FH’s purchase order requirements, manage procurement function with respect to all paper, supplies and equipment maintenance services needed in the Production Center
* Review vendor invoices for courier services, shipping, paper and supply purchases and equipment maintenance for accuracy before submitting for approval
* Ensure the proper capturing of project numbers and related information for all jobs performed by the Center
* Routinely reviews print pricing against third party vendors to ensure competitiveness
* Other relevant job duties as required or identified
Qualifications:

* Strong leadership skills and communication skills – both written and verbal – are required
* Must have prior experience in digital print/copy center management, mailroom services and direct management reporting responsibilities. Direct reporting responsibilities include daily supervision, written disciplinary action and performance reviews.
* High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
* Must have strong computer skills and experience working with and creating Excel spreadsheets, plus a working knowledge of other programs and productivity tools (PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Exchange mail and calendar, etc.) and Adobe Creative Suite software
* Ability to think and respond quickly in problem-solving situations
* Willingness and ability to be a hands-on leader and actively involved in the day-to-day project work in support of the Production Center
* Industry experience encompassing mail, fulfillment, outsourcing services, graphic design and digital press preferred
* Ability to understand and convey business issues and complex concepts
* Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills
