Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking candidates for ourSpring 2012management training sessions. Candidates must bewilling to relocatewithin a targeted region or geographic market upon completion of the programs.

Job Program Overview:

The programs focus on training ambitious and motivated entry level to experienced retail professionals who are seeking an opportunity to join the industry leader in college bookstore management. Our Management Training Programs are designed to complement varying levels of experience. The on-the-job training, combined with formal classroom instruction and mentoring, provides you with personalized attention to prepare you for one of our dynamic management opportunities.

Under the direction of the Store Manager and Human Resources Training Manager, trainees engage in a structured training program designed to teach all aspects of store and / or text department management. The trainee programs combines classroom, special assignments/projects and in-store training and is structured for a specific period of time.



Specific Responsibilities:



* Responsible for independently completing training modules and quizzes according to the training plan.

* Communicates regularly with Training Manager.

* Actively seeks job placement after approval from Training Manager.

* Provides support and leadership to assigned training store.

* Works closely with Store or Text Manager to learn all aspects of store management.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
STORE MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM - Job Requirements



* Bachelor's degreerequired

* Ability to relocate within targeted regions

* Minimum of 2-3 years retail experience; previous supervisory experience is preferred

* Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial concepts to operate a retail environment

* Superior customer service abilities

* Solid leadership abilities to cultivate business partnerships and successfully manage a store staff

* Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook with the ability to efficiently learn new technologies

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

* Superior verbal and written communication skills

* Must be able to travel; extended overnight stays possible
