Intern Flight Test Engineer
This position will support the F-15 Saudi Test Program Management and Flight Test Program. While the student is in the assignment they will increase technical knowledge of aircraft systems, increase knowledge of flight test program coordination, and increase knowledge of flight test documentation and processes. The student will be introduced to Detailed Test Planning, Flight Certification Process and participate in Flight Test Operations. Tasks within the assignment will include shadowing a shop mechanic, participation in Test Coordination Meetings, preparation of Flight Prep Sheets/Advance Fabrication Sheets/Weight and Balance Forms/Flight Test Safety Checklists, familiarization with our Test Planning Tool and Flight Test Cards, On-Aircraft Ground Testing, Instrumentation Installs, and Support Aircraft Test Preparations. The student will assist the Saudi Flight Test Engineers and Test Conductors as participants in the First Flight Readiness Review Process, Final Certification Process, Ground/EMI Tests, Fit Checks, and Remote Site Test Preparations. A limited amount of travel is possible. Occasional presentations may also be prepared and given. Some support of the F-15 E1 Demonstration Program may also be possible while the student is supporting the F-15 Saudi Program.

Veh Sys & Subcomponent Test - Knowledge across a wide range of engineering disciplines (e.g. structural design, mechanical design, electrical design, aerodynamics, stress analysis, weight and balance, durability, dynamics, fluid power systems, propulsion/fuel systems, acoustics, material properties, fracture mechanics, environmental conditioning, control theory, and test instrumentation). Knowledge of domestic and international regulations (e.g. FAA, DOD, and NASA regulations) on the certification of test articles/vehicles to assure compliance of design. Utilize the above knowledge and Boeing/Industry standards to design, set up and execute tests (e.g. structural, noise, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and materials on systems, vehicles and subcomponents).

Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED.

Prefer candidate working toward a Bachelors or Masters in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Successful candidates must be able to communicate well with engineering staff, project management, and customers. Individuals must work effectively in a team environment, analyze technical problems, develop solutions, and ultimately present them to customers. Candidate must possess good written, verbal, and computer skills. Candidates must clearly state your major, cumulative GPA and graduation month/year in your resume.
