GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for predictive (statistical) modeling initiatives. Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of statistical models, incorporating business policies, procedures, and systems knowledge in order to ensure robust, repeatable and comprehensive predictive modeling.
Provides technical consulting and guidance to ensure compliance with relevant federal and state laws and regulations. Masters or advanced degree and SAS Certification required.

Essential Functions:

· Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor and support a variety of statistical models using SAS programming
· Interface with TOS and CH Warehouse, CAG Database Manager to ensure appropriate data and confirm quality of data prior to model execution; interface with business lines and Fair Lending Division Compliance during development of models
· Perform complex statistical modeling and initiate interpretations of results. Analyze database contents. Develop, implement and maintain consistent processes for data quality control.
· Execute all phases of modeling, including the identity of risk-based analyses and prioritization from current Fair Lending Risk Assessment results, participate in the establishment of annual Analysis Planning schedules, design and develop models, validate variables, generate and interpret results with Statistical Analyst, CAG management and participate in communication of final results
· Provide technical writing to document modeling processes, change management stages
· Work with FLC management to develop management reporting as required
· Ensure appropriate levels of documentation to support each model are maintained; document business change tracking to support variables used and/or changes in variables
· Develop solutions for monitoring and reporting model performance, quality and reliability
· Develop re-usable processes and methodologies for delivering analytical models in a structured fashion
· Provide guidance and advice on modeling techniques to create robust models based on available data; participate in identifying additional data needs

Qualifications:

· Master's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, etc), Advanced degree is strongly preferred
· At least 10 years of related experience, preferably in financial services using large and complex datasets
· SAS Certified or extensive modeling experience (Experience with SAS required, SQL programming language a plus)
· Experience as a technical writer
· Must have extensive knowledge of financial services government and regulatory laws and regulations, prefer working knowledge of U.S. Bancorp lending and credit operations, policies, and procedures
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with end users and management
· Must be detail oriented with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
· Good project management skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Access and Excel
