Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer 1
Boeing - St. Louis is seeking a recent college graduate with strong electrical design and software engineering skills to work in a highly dynamic Mission Systems Laboratory environment doing hands-on development of flight simulators for existing aircraft programs and new prototype aircraft programs.
Responsibilities will include participating in laboratory designs and direct fabrication activities to develop lab configurations for various programs, provide onsite support for marketing simulators at air shows, and develop hardware & software components for flight simulators and system integration laboratories. The work environment includes high power voltages, currents and integrated laboratory instrumentation. Occasional travel (domestic and international) is expected to support these activities.
The candidate must have strong electrical design and software skills. The candidate must have working knowledge of Visual Studio, C/C++/C#, MATLAB, Schematic Capture Tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics), and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g. AutoCad). Must be familiar with standard electronic diagnostic tools, digital multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, software-based network diagnostic tools (e.g. Wireshark), etc.
Applicants must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment. Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Previous design or project team participation is desired.

• Engineering Drawings & Specs
Basic ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

An ability to obtain an interim and/or final clearance (post-start) is required for this position - US Citizenship Required or equivalent (Refer to Security Clearance Definitions link above). Prefer Bachelor of Science (BS) / Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics with applicable lab experience.
