We are in currently in need of severalDrive Testersin the St. Louis, Missouri area. Local candidates are preferred.
SUMMARY: The Drive Tester is responsible for driving to and testing the signal strength of customer assigned cell towers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
* Working directly with RF engineer to monitor and record cell site signal strength. * Assist RF engineer in cell site troubleshooting. Examples include dropped calls, poor coverage, and overloaded circuits. * Making 911 calls to ensure all information is reaching the correct E911 call center. * Drive testing of sites following the re-home of E911 circuits. * Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School or GED equivalent. Basic knowledge of GPS and map tracking software. Telecommunications background desired.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate computer skill with experience in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel). Knowledge of Microsoft Streets and Trips mapping software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess valid drivers license with good driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Successful candidate will be able to spend varied amounts of time sitting in an t be capable of driving at night. Must be comfortable traveling to assignments via airplane when necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Candidate will be available to travel nationwide for assignments ranging in varied lengths of time. Majority of time will be spent in an automobile, traveling from site to site in various weather conditions. Site testing can take place at any time of day or night, based on scheduling and customer commitments.
