Design and Analysis Engineer 1
Support Equipment and Services has an opening for an entry level Electrical Engineer. The job responsibilities include; support development and tracking of requirements through program design and design through manufacturing, integration, and test / installation of the product to composite manufacturing facilities. Other responsibilities will include assisting senior engineering with system architecture definition, requirements and interface definition, system-level integration, system simulation, modeling and analysis, hardware procurement, performance and design verification, test and delivery tasks.
Other requirements include a working knowledge of some software development tools such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, Matlab, LABview, C/C++/C#, and FPGA development for design of data acquisition, signal processing and motion control sub-systems.
Other duties will include but are not limited to; assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements. Develops or modifies basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements. Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring suppliers'' performance to ensure compliance with requirements. Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies. Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.

Basic knowledge of software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage. Basic ability to apply knowledge of database engines to the design of databases and reporting structures. Basic ability to integrate hardware and software components into a functional system. Basic knowledge of software testing and usability theory. Basic knowledge of testing, usability practices. Basic ability to write and execute test scripts and perform usability analyses.
• Mech/Elec Design Tech
Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical design techniques (e.g., machine and mechanisms design, sheet metal design, equipment installation design, wire harness design, control systems design). Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., PSpice, AutoCAD, CATIA, Unigraphics).
• Requirements/Tracing
Basic familiarity with how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
