Equifax Workforce Solutions /TALX are looking for a talented Software Architect and Developer to guide the technical approach and methodology of Software Developers and Systems Engineers. The Architect should have the ability to advice and influence decision makers in areas of business vision, business value and technology roadmap. The Architect will perform a variety of complex tasks and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Candidates should have expert level knowledge in architecting, planning, testing, deploying, and supporting ongoing operations of critical projects.






Summary: The Data Center Engineer (DCE) is responsible for supporting all aspects of the corporate data centers to include but not limited to server, software, network, telephony, SAN, cabling, and environmental infrastructures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Technical troubleshooting of issues across all platforms within the data centers.
* Software Platforms: Windows 2003 and 2008 Server, Symantec NetBackup, Symantec Antivirus, Active Directory, System Center Operations Manager, System Center Configuration Manager
* Hardware Platforms: HP Proliant, HP Blade
* Build servers and systems according to specifications
* Works with Operations Department, Database Management, and Product Development teams for technical matters and problem resolution of any client issues.
· Accurately communicates project status to Director of Infrastructure and Team Lead of Data Center Engineering
* Provide timely, detailed, and accurate resolution for all issues/projects assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelor degree in technical field and 5 years of technical related experience or a minimum of 7 years of technical experience

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
· Must possess the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and function in a fast-paced, demanding, high growth environment, and be customer-service oriented.
· Must maintain the highest level of integrity, courtesy, and respect while interacting with internal customers, TALX employees, and business contacts.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to interface with customers (internal & external) and strong interpersonal skills
· Creative problem-solving and analytical skills a must
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to understand new technologies quickly
· Ability to work flexible hours as required.

Computer Skills Required:
* Must have experience deploying and supporting Windows Server products including Windows Server 2003, and 2008. Must have experience with MS Word, Excel and Visio.
* Must have experience administrating a Microsoft Active Directory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous role in supporting a Production Microsoft/Intel data center environment
* Experience with Symantec NetBackup
* Microsoft specific training or certifications
* Experience with enterprise patch deployment
* Experience with Cisco network equipment.
* Experience with System Center Operations Manager
* Experience with System Center Configuration Manager
* Experience with Storage Area Networking (SAN)

Physical Requirements or Environmental Factors:
* Position requires walking/standing activity within the data centers and medium to heavy lifting of servers. Some daily local travel between St. Louis campus buildings. Requires carrying cellphone/pager and working on-call rotations with team members per schedule.
