Overview:
Macy's, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for a Counsel I position which will be located in St. Louis.
Key Accountabilities:
Litigate commercial, employment, and class action cases throughout the country.
Conduct all litigation activities, including researching, writing, drafting and arguing motions and briefs, preparing/responding to discovery, taking/defending depositions, preparing and trying cases in court and in arbitration as first or second chair.
Interaction with in-house litigation group, Law Department, company clients, and local counsel.
Travel required to prepare and litigate cases nationwide.
Skills Summary:
J.D. from an accredited institution.
2-5 years experience in litigation.
Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a team and in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple matters and assignments.
Desire to try cases and to litigate all aspects of a case.
Nationwide travel required.
