Alcatel-Lucent has employment opportunities for Communications Services Installers to join our Service Deployment and Commissioning Organization.
* Hourly rate will be between $11 -16 per hour, with semi annual increases , travel per diem and overtime. * Eligibility for our benefits package including 401K, paid vacation, holidays and medical/life insurance. * Training and opportunities for advancement.
Duties: * Install switches, transmission equipment, power equipment, wireless equipment and network equipment in central offices, customer locations, wireless remote locations and outside locations. * Mount/remove equipment, run and connect wires and perform basic tests. * Work inside and outside. * Must be able to climb ladders and work at various heights. * Must have own transportation * May require out- of- town travel. * Installer Base Location = St. Louis, Missouri
Minimum Requirements:
* Passed Medical examination including substance screening and ability to distinguish colors. * Be able to lift 50 lbs to height of 7 feet, occasional lift/carry of 51-100 lbs-100 lbs, ladder climbing, and working from platforms at heights of 11- 12 feet or more. * Meet pre- employment background investigation, including previous five (5) years driving and criminal conviction records. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must be able to travel. * Must have a valid driver's license. * Prefer 1-2 years technical experience or background in a technical discipline. * No Company paid relocation.
