CMM Quality Inspector
SIM Surgical, a medical devices company in the Fenton, Missouri area, is seeking an experienced CMM Quality Inspector. We are a company with an outstanding record of continuous growth and ha implemented an even stronger strategic plan for continued growth. We will rely on you for various inspection processes needed to verify product conformance. You must be able to work a flexible schedule with lots of opportunity for overtime and willing to work some Saturdays. Responsibilities:
· Perform first piece/start-up inspections · Perform in-process inspections · Ensure Operators, Machinists and debarring personnel inspect their own work · Perform final inspection prior to shipping · Accept or reject parts/product based on customer specification and inspection results · Operate and program CMM · Alert pertinent lead people of processes and/or defects that adversely affect product quality · Provide recommendations as needed for improvement of the Quality Management System · Work with other team members and manufacturing personnel in a cooperative and constructive manner · Conform to the company quality system as documented · Assist other inspection teammates and Machinist with operation and proper use of inspection equipment · Any other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following abilities, attributes, experience and skills: · High School diploma or GED · Mechanical Inspector with 1-3 years machine shop inspection experience or 2-5 years of machine shop inspection experience only · Proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic metrology, print reading, geometric tolerance and total quality systems · Previous CMM, visual comparators and other inspection equipment operation · Ability to understand how to apply basic statistics to the quality performance measures · Experience with writing or modifying detailed CMM programs in PC-DMIS & CMM Manager inspection software preferred
